I’m always trying to lure all of you far-away friends to visit, so when @countrylivingmag actually asked me to share my local faves, I happily obliged. This round up can be found on countryliving.com and includes @shacksbury’s (pseudo) secret monthly dinner party + my favorite stops at @middleburychocolates @cursivecoffee @edgewatergalleryvt + a local orchard. #yayvermont!

Mirror, frame, wallpaper. All the golds. All my love. (at Middlebury Community Music Center - MCMC)
Julian and I have been taking a music class at the community house. I can’t quite contain my love for this building. Please indulge this little tour starting with the spiral staircase and this rug. Gah!
I’ve carried Susan Dwyer’s gold dishes since Clementine’s early days. I love how each dish is different, but also how Susan has evolved the dishes shapes slightly over the years. I never know exactly what I’ll find, but its always gorgeous. These tiny gold polka dot dishes just arrived and may be my favorite yet! (at Clementine Store)
My craft-loving heart has been full this month brainstorming ideas and delighting in new projects with amazing vendors, creative friends and some fabulous folks over at Etsy. Today, I’m excited to share the first of those little jaunts: I’m excited and more than a little honored to share that Clementine is the Featured Boutique on Etsy Wholesale’s blog:
Emily Blistein, owner of the highly curated shop, Clementine in Middlebury, Vermont, fell into shop ownership by accident. After graduating with a law degree and working in legal aid, Emily realized that her creative life had been put on hold for years. Then, as fate would have it, a creative opportunity fell into her lap: a local shop owner was closing her boutique. Within a few months, Emily had created a full business plan to take over the space and open Clementine.
What excites you about your area?
I live in a quintessential Vermont town. It’s beautiful, low-key and quaint, but at times can be stagnant with limited venues for new inspiration. What I love most about the small scale of my town, however, is how one little shift can make a huge difference. For instance, in April I moved in to a new space, doubling the size of my shop and expanding Clementine’s horizons in every way. Soon after, a coffee shop and design space moved in to my old storefront. Now the block is just buzzing with new energy and excitement!
